Robin has focused on issues faced by British expats through personal experience of them in the US and also those faced by his dual-national son who lives in the UK.

Born in Cambridge, England, Robin worked for three years in the City of London before being posted to Tokyo and New York in 1984 with Robert Fleming Inc.

Born in Cambridge, England, Robin worked for three years in the City of London before being posted to Tokyo and New York in 1984 with Robert Fleming Inc. He has remained in the US since that time although holds onto a sense of heritage and his accent.

After working with Robert Fleming, he was recruited by S.G. Warburg Securities Inc in New York, rising to Managing Director of International Sales and Trading by 1988. Following time in the broking side of the investment business, he moved to the portfolio management side as a product specialist and institutional marketing executive with J.& W. Seligman & Co, Inc and Harding Loevner Management where he was a partner. In 2005, he moved to be Chief Operating Officer at Noble Partners LLP in Boston, Massachusetts which managed hedge funds.

Wishing to be more involved with individuals, Robin worked with Lincoln Investment Planning from 2017 to 2020 as a Financial Adviser. More recently, Robin has focused on issues faced by British expats through personal experience of them in the US and also those faced by his dual-national son who lives in the UK.

In his spare time, Robin is a rugby enthusiast closely following old club Harlequins. He has coached men’s teams at Amherst College and Harvard Business School. He is an alumnus of the University of Cambridge and Harvard University. Professional qualifications include the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation and being UK Level 4 diploma qualified through the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) in the UK, where he is a member.
