Phillip Winther is a former athlete including a Delaware All-Star Lacrosse Player and played for the club team of Pennsylvania State University. Phillip also enlisted in The United States Marine Corps prior to attending Penn State University during the first Gulf War of 1991. Phillip served honorably and received several awards and medals for his outstanding service and achievement while serving in the Marines.

Phillip attended Pennsylvania State University and earned two Bachelorette of Science Degrees, one in Finance and the other in International Business from The Smeal College of Business.

Phillip then went on to work for several outstanding consulting companies beginning in 1996 until 2010 when he founded and began running his own consulting firm of JP Winther Financial.
