Claire’s focus is on advising UK clients and British expats in the US. She is dual-licenced by both the FCA and SEC.

Claire holds Chartered Status, the highest level of professional excellence a finance professional can reach, with the London Institute of Banking and Finance.

Claire has been working in financial services since 2000; first as an Accountant and then migrating into regulated financial planning.

Initially, Claire worked as a tax specialist in Glasgow before moving to Aberdeen in 2012 and becoming a Finance Manager for a Norwegian Oil & Gas company, splitting her time between Aberdeen and Stavanger. Later Claire became a Business Manager for an engineering company where she managed the company pension scheme which sparked her interest in retirement planning and prompted her to retrain as a Financial Adviser in 2019 with St. James’s Place Wealth Management.

Working with many clients in the oil & gas sector, Claire came across many US-Connected individuals who needed more complex financial planning as their life now spanned two tax jurisdictions, two currencies and two very different pension schemes.

Claire’s focus is on advising UK clients and British expats in the US and is licenced by both the FCA and SEC.

Claire splits her time between Scotland and Texas and is a Chartered Associate of the London Foundation of Banking & Finance, holding a UK Level 6 advanced diploma in financial advice (Chartered ALFBF).

Claire is also a member of The European Financial Planning Association (EFPA) and The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Claire is married to Bruce, and they have two dogs, Milo & Bailey. She loves a sports car and can often be found enjoying a road trip with friends. Claire also enjoys Texan BBQ, Baseball and has yet to say no to a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc!
